About freezing homemade raw

Hi everyone,
I am wondering what is the largest batch of raw food you make when you consider storing it in the freezer. For example, I make a frankenprey diet, and the largest batch I've ever made was 3 months. It seemed to hold up well in the freezer, but i'm worried that making a larger batch (say 5-6 months) might damage the meat (nutrient wise) if its been in the freezer too long? Kind of an expensive risk to take, so what are other peoples opinions on that?

My cat is 2 years, so he isnt really growing as a kitten would. Now i feel more comfortable to make him large batches of food, because the calories he needs are constent now.

Thank you.

Meat can be kept in the freezer for a year if sealed properly. And even then the nutrients are not really compromised. It's more likely to be freezer burnt which may make it less palatable. 6 months should be no issue at all.

The only thing I would caution you about is that cats tend to change their mind on a whim. So you could make up 6 months of food and a month from now your cat decides that what you're feeding is poison and refuses to go near it.
