I firmly believe it's up to every owner whether or not they feel comfortable feeding a raw diet, but I'm sick and tired of seeing people - especially vets and other supposed "professionals"! - spreading misinformation or even outright lies about raw feeding.
It's SUPER important for people to know what they're getting into, feeding a balanced diet (otherwise pets can and WILL get sick), and, of course, using basic food safety practices when handling raw meats.
Though, the funny thing is, cases of pets/humans getting sick really aren't that common to begin with. My original vet fully supported me raw-feeding our dog, and was happy to see that I did my research beforehand. She said that the myths around raw-feeding were ridiculous, and while improper feeding was a very serious issue, it was - thankfully - an uncommon sight for her to see.
