Hi all! I stumbled across this gem while trying to find a local place in middle Georgia that sells raw food.
allProvide is a company based out of northern Georgia that originally started making raw dog food and has since added on a cat food line. However....I for sure felt that was a "too good to be true" sort of deal.
Here's a link for viewing pleasure: Shop Online - Cat Food - Allprovide
They want $4.50/lb for their turkey/chicken/beef recipe. That cost goes down to $3.60/lb (!!) if you buy 30lbs bulk, and then down to $3.38/lb (!!!!) if you buy 61lbs+. That comes out to less than a dollar per day, per cat for a complete, balanced, pre-made raw food. I usually get my cat's food from Hare-Today, and since their prices have gone up, I can't make their food for that price anymore...
I emailed the company's manager and he answered almost immediately. Highlights he told me:
-Approximately 1% carbohydrate content.
-No tripe in the beef formula because cats tend to not like it.
-Taurine is not listed as an ingredient because of the heart content.
-Ratios are 80/10/10.
He also said that they are in the process of updating their website and calorie content should be available by the end of this week online.
Best of all...and this is awesome because everyone gets burned on shipping, especially for frozen goods...the cost of shipping is built into the cost of the food, unless you live west of the Mississippi River. I mean...what? I'm flabbergasted and honestly kind of bummed I just got an entire order from Hare-Today...lol
So...opinions? It seems way too good to be true, but after contacting management, he has assuaged a lot of my fears. Maybe their prices are so low because the company isn't known very well yet, compared to Primal or Rad Cat?
