"Paleo" diet?

Our two have always ignored any scraps of raw meat or fish we've offered them, so we haven't attempted to put them on a raw food diet. They both seem quite healthy on what we are buying for them, a high quality cat food in both dry and canned format.
However, recently one of them (possibly both), has started actually eating the mice they catch in the back yard.
On the one hand, it's one less rodent corpse to toss over the back fence for the ravens and crows to eat, on the other hand, I wonder if I need to be worried about parasites. They both had a bad reaction to last year's dose of the dab-on dewormer.
Any thoughts?

Yes, you need to be concerned about worms.

I'd be a little concerned about the mice possibly eating rat poison someone may be using.
