Forum questions???

I am not a computer geek and I was wondering if there is any kind of help screen for this forum that you can go to to figure out how it works. I cannot figure out how to add pictures and signatures, etc. Or do you just have to submit a question? Just thought if there are any help screens that could tell me how all this works. Thanks!

Once you're logged in along the top black bar is something called User CPU ... click it. Along the left hand side of options will be signature and avatar options. The avatar and signature must meet specific guidelines (not too wide or tall ...) ... anyway, if I was on my computer I could give more details.

If you want to ask a question on technical stuff just ask away in the Tech Support area.

Or just scroll through or search the tech support area. Many of us non-techies have probably already asked the same questions.

I was going to try and do a signature and noticed that it out of the side of "upload images for signature" - NO
So does this mean that I do not have permission from the administrators to do a signature???? How do you get permission????

No, that shouldn't matter. Mine says no, too, and I was able to do a sig with photos. When you go to User CP > Edit Signature, make sure you size your signatures down to an allowable size first.

Here are the signature requirements from the rules sticky...

Quote:
2. Signatures

a. Signatures may contain up to five lines (one line being that displayed on a browser opened to 800px width) of text (of small or normal size)
and/or one image, valid combinations include; a single image of no more
than 120px high, 500px wide and 120KB in size. Signatures
containing an image this large may also include one line of small size text.
Signatures containing an image of 30px high may include up to three lines of small size text or two lines of normal size text. Images of 15px height or less may allow up to three lines of normal size text or four lines of small size text.

b. Text sizes should be between 9 and 12 (small and normal). Text in signatures is subject to the same conditions as posts with respect decency, warez, emoticons, etc.

c. Links are permitted in signatures. Links are included within the text and image limits above. Links to offensive sites may be subject to removal. No links are permitted to competing cat websites. No affiliate links are allowed.

d. Users abusing these rules will be warned.

Just ask your granddaughter what to do! I think they are born after 1990 knowing this stuff!

Well isn't that the truth!!! They were born with techy instinct. At least they say I'm the cool grandma, but sometimes it is hard to live up to that standard!!!! lol
