Green underline under text--popup ads normal?

I see this a LOT on this forum when I'm on my kindle using the Silk browser. It's just annoying when I see it via Silk (kindle fire), because I don't want to lug my laptop around. I don't think Silk has any apps that can get rid of it, adblock plus app is useless on that browser, too. Just wondering if this is normal for everyone else? My phone uses Chrome as the browser, so no problems there. Anyone has this issue? I've called Amazon's tech support (for Kindle Fire HDX), they say it's the website with the issue, and it's true. I don't see it on other websites or forums unrelated to this one.

Thanks, all.

That's a mal ware issue. Somewhere you picked up in text advertising.

I see that before I log in. I assumed that's what non-paying members have to look at when they get in the site, but can't remember back to before I got my membership.

I'm a non paying member, but I don't see any text pop-ups.

I also use Chrome and with extensions such as AdBlock and a few others that effectively disable any ads of any sort.

Were you logged into the forum when you saw that? Guests to the site see more ads then members do and one of the type of ads they see are in text ads. As soon as you log into the forum the text ads should disappear.

With regards to your Kindle Fire HDX, you should be able to download a chrome browser on them.

Thanks for all input.

NE Cat & Danielle--
You're both right. If I'm not signed in and using my Kindle, I see it. If I turn off Adblock on my pc, I see again, too. Does that mean it's normal to see it then? Or is it mal ware that I need to get rid of that MowMow mentioned? Normally when I'm using Chrome or Firefox, my Adblock feature is already on, so I never see it regardless if I'm logged on or not. And I never see it on my phone, because again, I'm using Chrome as my main browser and it has built in "turn off popup ads" feature, I'm guessing.

Just wondering now if I should run a mal ware scan on my pc...

Thanks!

This is likely appearing because you are not logged in when viewing them. If you suspect you have malware on your computer you can look into what windows/Microsoft might suggest based on the version of OS you use and the browser you use.
