Just introducing myself- Until recently our family included a sweet, adorable, female cat for 12 years. She passed away last month of cardiomyopathy, which we'd been medicating ever since she was diagnosed at age one.

I miss her *very* much and was not planning to adopt any other cats for a little while, at least...But my four-year old and my husband have been very persistent about opening our home to an animal in need again...So we went to our local shelter "just to see" the cats...And that's how I've ended up with our two delightful cats, Tiger and Tigger, two 9-month old domestic short-haired (more like medium, actually) brothers. We suspect they must have some Maine Coon in them: they're polydactyls and they're HUGE compared to the average 9-month old kitty.

Welcome to the forum! We all know there's no such thing as going "just to look," don't we?? Your kitties sound adorable. I love the big ones myself -- my Murphy is a big boy at 17 pounds.

I have an 8-month old, friendly, feral cat who just gave birth to 4 kittens. She has them in a place that is not really good for her and the kittens. I ready to change my car into a giant kitty carrier and fix it up for her, but i afraid whe will no longer feed her babies. Is this true?
