Hi there, I'm new to the forum! I joined the forum because I recently got a kitty 2 months ago and would like to learn more and share with others about kitty care and stories. I have several questions, and would like advice and/or just to share.
Maxie is an 8 month old brown/black/little bit of calico tabby. She was brought into a Humane Society as a kitten when someone found her alongside a freeway. Someone adopted her from the Humane Society, but it didn't work out so they put her on craigslist. I got then got her from her previous owner from craiglist then.
Maxie is super funny at times, a very unique personality. She absolutley loves to play (I've got about 7 stick/string toys for her) they don't seem enough..LOL. She at first even played fetch with me when I gave her her first toy! I couldn't believe it. But as I got her more and more toys, she kinda stopped doing that.. lol.
She loves cuddle when she's in the mood..lol. And to lick and sometimes bit (which Im trying to get her away from the biting, I know its her lovebites, but sometimes she's too rough) but she loves attention and follows me in every room. I know if I go to one room, she'll be there, even the bathroom ..LOL so I need to close the door for the bathroom.
I know she's very attached to me (and me to her) but I also worry about her being alone all day, and am considering getting her a companion. (Which I'll be asking about.. I want it to be for her and the new kitty) There are SO many unwanted kitties right now and shelters are overflowing, its so sad
But I'm looking for another kitty because...for instance, I'm at my computer this morning, and she knew I was leaving.. and she jumped on my shoulder!! LOL It scared me at first, but she didn't use her claws.. but she wanted attention. It's like I could tell she didn't want me to leave
Awwwww.. so I'm wondering how another female companion would be. Right now I'm looking at a 3 year old female beautiful russian who is also fixed and not declawed.
Well, thats it for now. Looking forward to the forum
