Introduction Update: Why I'm here.
For the last 4 years I have had a close and personal relationship with 3 wild feral mamas, one was tameable eventually, 9 litters of feral kittens, 30 kittens total, all named and loved. This has given me the gift to be able to know so many of these interesting creatures. I observed all their behaviours with me from terror to acceptance ( all but two who we couldn't catch, Blight and Teenager ). I know what all personalities of kittens do when born wild and told by their mother to "run for your lives" and yet overcome their instincts with their instincts. Unending curiosity, stalking, hunger, the scratch and play. They grow into adults and then because we live near open pasture and mesquite trees, the coyotes have access to our neighborhood thru alleys and a large park that backs up to everyones back fence, well, need I say more about the kitties that have learned from their mothers the art of the hunt. The coyotes appeciate that. I think I have lost my oldest, Lightnin', nearly 4, to the **** "'yotes". The 9 cats we have left were not around their mamas to actually be on a hunt, but you know cats. The 9 are mostly home bodies and that may be from no role models or they know something evil walks the alleys and park.
Anyway, I've seen alot of cat behaviour, I may know something that I don't remember knowing until someone asks me. I enjoy the heck out of these little devils. Lov'um. So alike and yet so so different.
