Ferals can be great pets

My vet warned that it would be hard to bring a feral indoors but it worked for me. I have never had such a loving fellow. It took BoBo about 2 weeks to become a family member but now he owns the house. Have any others adopted ferals and how did they do?

Most of our cats were feral adults that I tamed/socialized outside before I brought them inside.
To date:
Mister, Toby, Silver (kitten-siblings, very easy to t/s kitts)
Inky, Bonnie, Marmalade (kittens from Husband's power plant)
Blaze
Wanderer
Oscar
Malibu
Shasta (kitten)
Shadow (I think she was an abandoned pregnant drop-off, she tamed too quickly)
Louie
Rusty
Dusty
Pretty

Foster kittens from feral mothers:
4 siblings, 8-10wks old (Malibu's kittens)
3 siblings, 6-7wks old
5 siblings, orphaned and bottle raised
2 sisters aged 5mo trapped @ my Dentist's office
3 siblings, orphaned and bottle raised

While it is true ferals can become great cats, with time (feral kittens make this far easier), I can say almost without a doubt your cat has had previous contact with humans when it was younger. Feral cats can take a long time to warm up to humans, two weeks is far too fast. Anyway, welcome to the forum, and it's wonderful that your took in a kitty off the street.

My cat Blacky was a semi-feral (meaning she previosuly had had human contact but had reverted to a feral state, and even then it took a year for her to trust me alone), here's her story:
