Hyperthyroid cats?

Hello all,

I'm new! I'll be posting in the proper section just as soon as I can...but if your kitty has undergone radioiodine treatment, I would certainly like to hear from you. I understand the success rate is very high and she'll most likely be feeling better right away....I'm wondering if the less-desirable behaviors that go along with the illness are likely to subside, particularly her lack of litterbox use.

As I said before, I'll post my questions in the proper forum when I'm able to.

Looking forward to 'meeting' you all!

Hyperthyroid Cats

Hello. I've had 2 cats with hyperthyroid conditions, both of whom had radioactive iodine treatments. Neither changed their litter box behaviour. Both continued to use the box faithfully. One of them had her treatment when she was 17 and was very sickly. She improved and lived until she was 19. The second had his treatment when he was 13 and is now 15. He is showing definite signs of aging, but is still a loving and clean pet.
