Here's a new member from the Netherlands!
My BF and I have recently adopted a cat from a shelter, and I came across this forum as I was looking for information on adopting adult cats.
Fred is 4 years old striped European short-hair cat and was taken to the shelter because he couldn't stand living together with other cats of the previous owner. He's very energetic and self-assured I must say, there was not a second he would be timid or scared about his new home. He's used to be an indoor-outdoor cat but as the shelter recommends not to let him out before the 2-month adaptation period ends, I can see he gets more and more anxious about being imprisoned in 4 walls. Several times a day I let him out in the backyard, which is a 4x4 m space, so that does not help much... I really hope we can let him go out soon as the pressure is really growing from his side.
Have a nice day!
