Hi, cat questions

Hello, I am new to the forum and have a few questions about a cat I have been seeing around my neighborhood. I'm pretty sure he (or she, idk) is a stray, although seems to get food, cant feel bones or anything when I pet him. Only see him late at night and usually pet him or give him food. And he looks like he might have some sort of injury on his side, no fur and a dark patch in the middle. Since I only see him at night I cant tell what it is. Just looking for any kind of feedback on what you guys think about him, as I really dont know anything about cats. Thanks, ScM27.

Hi! Welcome to the forum. If he isn't skinny, he is finding food somewhere or he belongs to someone. Could you get a flashlight to look at the dark patch more closely? Maybe it is an injury that is in the process of healing. You also could put flyers up to see whether he really is a stray.
