Hi, I have a 18 year old cat I call Tommy or Tom-Tom. He is the best thing in my life. He has cataracts and he was diagnosed with Diabetes 3 years ago and had to go on insulin shots. This past year we were told to take him off the Insulin because his body was rejecting it. Now I am being told his kidneys are starting to fail. I have lost confidence in my vet as he told me there is nothing else that can be done. He is already on a cat food for diabetic cats but I feel that is not helping, does anybody have any ideas what i can do. I know he is getting old but I also know he has a lot of fight still in him. Thank you for any help.
