Hi everybody! I'm a new member, but long time cat lover! I have 4 kitties, Sweetie, Katie, Cocoa Chanel and Figaro. Sweetie and Katie are 7 yr old littermates. Sweetie is a great big Champagne DSH and came home first. He was such an itty bitty, tiny little guy when he came home that my son decided we had to name him Lil' Sweetie. Natually, he is now 16lbs! Well, he should be a bit smaller, but we're working on that.
Sweetie was the most affectionate kitten, as long as he was on you. As soon as you set him down, he would run after you screaming. After about 3 days of this, I decided he needed a friend, so we went back to get his sister, Katie. Katie is the sweetest little grey kitty with white socks and the cutest white swish on her face. Well, Katie is just a doll and we fell in love with her immediately, but I have to admit Sweetie still has a lot to say to this day.
Cocoa Channel came to us from a purebred cat rescue just a couple years ago. She was almost 1 when we got her and is just over 3yrs now. She's a beautiful seal point Siamese, but is the silent type, unlike the stereotypical talkative meezer. She's probably the most gentle of my kitties.
Finally, maybe a year after we brought Cocoa home, we adopted Figaro, who is a now 1.5 year old Snowshoe Siamese. What can I say? I know people who do rescue and they know a sucker when they see one! LOL He was just a little 8 week old when he came home and is still crazy active.
While I'd love to bring home every orphan I meet and have definitely caught the rescue bug, I do believe 4 kitties are my limit. Anyway, I am so happy to have found this forum and can't wait to get to know everyone!
