New member with kitty and urinating issues

New member and haven't posted since signing up a few months ago. My wife and I have 4 cats. Our most recent cat, which we adopted over a year ago has started peeing on the throw carpet in the dining room. We've thrown out 3 rugs as of tonight. We have hard word floors that are sealed pretty good, no rough raw wood. But the little one keeps going in the same spot, never alot just small spots. We tried using natures miracle urine buster and it worked last week. Killed the odor and she didn't go anymore..........till today. 3 times. Now with another $120 carpet wasted we dont know what to do. We soaked the wood floor very well just before to hopefully get what we could.

Would small spot peeing be an indication of something wrong?

See a vet first. If your kitty has a problem, your throw rugs might seem like a safe place to go. Once she established a habit, she may continue to use the same location if she has a flare up.

Is she using the box for poo? Does she ever pee in her box?

Getting her checked out first is the most humane thing to ensure she's not in pain. If she gets a clean bill if health, I'd look into confining her to a bathroom or large dog crate to retrain to the box

Not sure exactly what to say as I have also recently join. I would agree with rightsaid fed and take kitty to the vet just to be on the safe side.

Hope her situation get better...
