Hello. I'm Mike and our cat is Lulu, but she goes almost exclusively by her nickname "chicken." She came into my life 3 years ago as a package deal with my girlfriend. We were worried we might have to send her to live with family due to my allergies, but one day I woke up and felt fine and the allergy has not been a problem since. Good thing too, Chicken and I have quickly become best friends. I work from home so we spend all day together. We chase bugs, hunt birds through the windows, and just generally hang out together. We're real good at being lazy too!
Admittedly I was always a dog person. Although I generally like any and all animals, I grew up with dogs. It just seemed natural. Thankfully, chicken is one of those cats that is so loving and compassionate that she easily converts dog lovers or cat naysayers to her side. She is never far from her humans, and she loves to cuddle and get personal. Se kneads quite a bit (which we call making bread) and one of her very favorite places to cuddle up and take a nap is the crook of my left arm. She has such a personality that you just have to love her.
So I'm here just brushing up on info. I feel like I have a good connection with the cat, but anything I can learn to do better is always welcome.
