Hello! Fever Kitten?

Hello, I'm new to the forum! We recently adopted a kitten from a litter that a friend found under someone's house -- his parents were feral. His name is Elioenai, which is Hebrew for "my eyes look to God," but we just call him Eli. By the time we got Eli, he was only partially silver and in the three or four weeks since then, he's turned entirely black. I have some pictures (albeit they're not so good) of him beforehand. Does this look like a fever coat in the process of growing out to y'all? I'm just curious.

The last picture is just a picture to show off how beautiful he is...He looks brown because of the lighting, but he's black. The gray, whatever it was, is completely gone now. He has one or two white hairs scattered around, but that's it -- and you certainly can't see them from a distance.

Anyway, does anyone know if he was a fever kitten or not? Thanks!!
