New here!

Hello all!
I am owned by Ally, a cat I searched for when the time was right.
I had kinky in my life for 15 years before she was taken to rainbow bridge, and our family waited until we were ready to welcome someone new.
I specifically chose to rehome an older cat because I know they can be harder to find homes for.
She's an angel.
She's an indoor cat, and enjoys time outside on her leash.
She's like a dog, attached to my hip. Greets me at the door. Won't let me go to the bathroom without her lol.
I'm here for advice, so looking forward to approval.
I just can't keep feeding her friskies. The guilt is huge when my beloved kinky only ate the best. But Ally won't eat anything else, unless it's half friskies.

What a gorgeous silver classic tabby and white---beautiful markings and such a sweet face! Just try and gradually wean her off the Friskies by putting in very little of the new food you want to feed might need to add something more pleasing to her as well such as putting a little bit of juice from canned salmon, or even some Fancy Feast Pate which is most cats love. Hope some of these suggestions can change her mind.

That is a beautiful cat, such striking classic tabby markings; and it sounds like she has a great personality as well.

If the friskies she eats is dry, try switching to a higher quality dry. Like you said 1/2 friskies half the better food, then *slowly* increase the percentage of the good quality food day-by-day over several days, until it's down to just a few pieces of the friskies on top. By then hopefully, she will equate the smell of the mixture as something she is fond of and go for it.

If she eats wet friskies, if I remember correctly, there are some of the pate formulations that are high protein percentage and low carb. Not the best quality food by any stretch, but not horrible either, and better than dry-only.
