Introducing myself and lil Henry

My name is Jo. Iím 45 with two kids (9 & 10) and recently adopted an adorable rescue kitty (15 weeks) who is shy and afraid of everything. I had cats as a child and recently lost my 13 year old fur baby. Itís been a long time since having kittens and Iíve never had an unsocialized kitten, so Iím looking forward to starting over and getting advice on how to deal with this.

Welcome!

I suggest creating a 'safe space' for Henry so he has a place he knows is his. A household with 2 children is a busy and at times stressful one for a cat. He needs time to adjust and understand he will get plenty of love from you all on his terms. Being so young he also needs a lot of playtime and be sure to teach your kids how to 'time out' Henry when play gets too rough.
You now have 3 children and all the blessings/hassles that come with that! Good Luck and look forward to seeing some pics!
