Well yesterday was a very long day, but Joey did remarkably well. He meowed quite a bit while I was carrying him around, but settled down once we got on the plane. Everything went quite smoothly, no problems.

He's doing really well with my border collie - she's so good with cats. He hissed at her and she just gave me a hurt look like "Why'd he do that, mom?!" She just leaves him alone, though she wags her tail at him now and then like she wants to meet him. So I think within a short period of time Joey should come to realize that she's harmless and maybe dogs aren't all evil big, slobbery beasts.

He briefly met one of the other cats in the house, a very shy, skittish cat. The reaction was NOT what I would ever have predicted from Angel - he lunged towards Joey! My brother was holding him, though, and quickly escorted him from the room. So apparently their introduction is going to have to go really slow. :( Poor Angel's so mad someone else is in his house. But I have confidence that they can be friends.

College sucks though. :( I want to go back home. Especially since over the weekend - actually on the friday, my birthday - my boyfriend proposed. So now I have a wedding to plan for next summer. :) I miss him so bad!! But at least I have my Joey-cat and my baby-dog - whom I missed terribly while I was away.

You will find you really like college. You will make new friends. Ive found the friends you make at college end up being friends for life. Give it time. I know it seems like a lonely time but it will change. Plus you arent stuck in a dorm room ~ you have your animal companions with you. Here hoping things smooth out quickly for you and Joey

Congratulations on the engagement! I hope everything goes well for you at College. :) Things will get better and easier with time. As they say, patience is a virtue. I'm not one to be telling others to be patient. I'm terribly impatient myself. Best wishes to you now and in the future.
