I have 24 rescued cats, here are 17 of them at feeding time! (We do have other bowls, but they like to gather around for photos).

Thanks :) I try to rehome them if possible so that I have more space for others, but they have a permanent home here if not. Most are strays that I've taken in and fixed and vaccinated and a few are from people who haven't been able to keep them :( this is the most I've ever had due to one of the strays giving birth to 5 kittens! It's difficult to rehome some of them because they are quite timid with new people (used to me now) and people don't seem to want black cats which is a shame because I think they are beautiful. Luckily dh is a vet! :D

Wonderful job your doing caring for these cats. Are you a part of a TNR group? It took us years but some of our colonies had no kittens for a couple years now by s/n consistently.

I loved your picture. Here is a bowl I use when I have a lot of kittens to feed at once. Its really a dog bowl but works like a charm when feeding lots of cats at once!

Here is one with a raised center. Of coarse there should be wet food in there!!!!!!!

Are you in the US? Keep up the good work. Bless you for caring for these kitties.

Hi Mitts & Tess! I'm in the UK, I'm not part of a TNR group but I do TNK (trap, neuter, keep) :) well, I have converted my garage into a cat house, though they do wonder in and out of my house too (have to do the garage thing as my house isn't big enough to house the number of cats that I take on so I ended up converting the garage). It works well though and I spend most of the day with them in the garage anyway! There aren't many strays in my area now as far as I know, I've been doing this since the late 90s and it seems to be under some control now, though I do get the odd stray still (like the one that gave birth about 5 weeks ago).

Re the doggy dish, looks great! So cute seeing cats share their food, most of mine are quite happy to share although the odd one gets a bit catty over food ;) they are fed exclusively wet as I think it's better for their health.

Do you tip the ears after they are s/n to know who is already fixed or do you just know the cats?

wow doing it since the 90s.:worship That is awesome!

do you have low cost s/n clinics there or work with a vet in your area?
Vets here generally cost a lot more to s/n so we have 4 low cost s/n
programs we can take our semi ferals, and ferals to.

Im very impressed!!!!!!

Wow! So many cats .w. You must be really good to them, and with them♥ I hope to learn some tips from you to apply them to my own kitty-kat. You're doing such a wonderful job♥ Hurray for you! I wish I could also help cats as much as you do, but I live in a very small place and can only handle one or two cats. However, my BF said maybe later on life we could adopt another cat (this time, and older one) so he an 'Byakko' can make company to each other♥

Miss & Tess, NebraskaCat and Marcia, yes having a vet in the family certainly does keep down the costs- it would be almost impossible to do this otherwise as I don't know of any places that do this at a low cost (apart from dh who does offer low cost neutering as he has seen with his own eyes how necessary this is). I don't tip the ears of the ones I have done, I basically don't put them into my cat colony until they are neutered and vaccinated and I know they are healthy. I can generally get this done quite quickly though!
