Just a note of warning. If you are adopting out cats, it is best not to adopt out black cats during October. There are cults that sacrifice black cats on Halloween. The kind of people who do this don't always make their real character obvious by their appearance.

Yah.. I called the SPCA about two black kittens for sale at a petstore, and I was concerned about Halloween and they didn't seem healthy. And they didn't care! What's with that?

I have my black&white kitty, and if I don't see him for 1 hour, I panic. He's always with me

The problem is that pet stores are in the business for the profit, not for the welfare of the animals. Once the money is in the cash register they could care less about what happens to the animal.

Important Safety Tip. If you have black ferals, keeping them indoors til 11/1 would be a good idea. These creeps don't always dress like heavy metal fashion victims. Sometimes they look completely "normal."

I'm actually adopting a black cat on Saturday...he is black with orange eyes. I wonder if the woman I am adopting him from has thought about this. Honestly, I know she is relieved to get him adopted since she has a lot of black kitties and told me that so many people don't want black cats. I'm just glad that she has all of them with her instead of them being out on the streets this month.
