One of my cats keeps peeing in random places. I was wondering if this could be a territorial thing? My sister brought her two cats home the other weekend, and that's when all of this started. Even though they're gone, she keeps doing it. Or could it possibly be that the catbox isn't clean enough to her liking? If anyone has any ideas, please tell! Thanks.

It's probably territorial marking if this started when the other cats came. They probaby left their scent behind and your cat is trying to cover it up. It may also be a UTI also so maybe you should try to clean up the spot good with an enzyme cleaner and cover that spot up with something. See if your cat still does it in that area and if so, you may need to contact your vet. Good luck :!:

cat peeing

Litterbox problems most often occur when the box is not clean enough for their liking. The second most common reason is a urinary tract infection, which can be triggered by stress. Assume it's a physical problem before you think behavioral, and have kitty checked by your vet.

There are a lot of reasons for litterbox issues, read all about 'em in our free article library, http://www.littlebigcat.com/?action=library.
