My cat is a 9 year old rescue who has been diagnosed with arthritis in both her front legs and part of her spine. She has been on Metacam daily for a few months and seemed the better for it: trotting and playing and jumping. Then all of a sudden, she started limping again. The vet gave her extra medication, possibly a painkiller but not sure as it was my husband who took her to the vet and he couldn't tell me what it was. 2 days later she's not much better and I imagine it's only going to get worse. My question is: has anyone tried a natural form of treatment for arthritis in cats and how successful was it? Thanks in advance for your help

Do you have any vets that specialized in acupuncture near you?
Though not arthritis, but several years ago, my Snowy wasn't able to even walk due to nerve damages. And with acupuncture he was able to regain back the strength in his legs and is able to walk and run and jump again now (I still bring him for treatment once every fortnight for maintenance).
My sister's cat has arthritis and is currently doing acupuncture treatment with the same doctor as well. I don't live with her so I can't tell how effective it is, but her cat seems to be able to walk fine (though you can tell the gait is slightly off).
Maybe you can give it a try? I hear acupuncture can help cats with arthritis.
