Hi all,

This is a little hard to explain without “seeing” it, but my cat is about 8 months old and I’m noticing that his back right leg “pops” out sideways to the right when he walks. It doesn’t seem to bother him, and he runs and jumps quite a bit with no issues. I did search for this and “luxating patella” comes back as the main result, however I’m reading that this is relative mainly to the knee, when it looks as though it’s his hip joint that is affected. Does anyone have experience with this issue? Taking him to the vet next week but also wondering if anyone had had any joint/knee/hip surgeries performed and how cats tolerate them (I can’t imagine it’s possible to keep them at rest through a healing process like that). Thanks!

TJ
