Baking Soda can be used for so many things! Bug bites. itch, odor, putting out small fires, washing the fridge, cleaning gently.....on and on! I wouldn't be without it. Thanks for the link!

Yes! You have to have it for baking! It's also good for indigestion, shining silver and copper, and it is one of the ingredients you can use to propel little toy boats. I think the other ingredient might be vinegar..... :?: Makes sense to me, an acid and an alkali..probably have a visible reaction. :)

I have heard people add it to their litterbox to help with odor.
If you lived in an apartment or something? :D

Couldn't do without baking soda. Uses in this household:

- brush my teeth (I use regular toothpaste too).
- house cleanser.
- box in frig for odor control.
- sprinkled heavily in litterbox for odor control.

I haven't washed my face with it yet, but will try it.
I've never actually baked with it, since I don't bake.

Rob, keep that box near the stove. It could save your apartment from fire. I don't think age changes the formula. Or, throw some in the litterbox when you change it, and treat yourself to a new box! :) I keep one for the fridge and one near the stove for baking, fires, and cleaning my silver jewelry. It's versatile stuff! :)
