Ha! I think most of us have been in that situation now and then. Especially with a new young cat.

Snickers has decided that 4 am is a good time to play. she will bat at my face with her claws retracted thankfully and when I wake up she wants to play. I can't just shut the room door because Alex sleeps with us and needs to be able to get out to use the box. I could exile her to the first floor though.

As soon as she does it, pick her up and put her in the laundry and shut the door. She will learn fast.
