I hate to be the first one to use this...but...I came home today because Baxter was not acting like himself this morning. He would not come when I called him and he just stayed off by himself.
This afternoon when I got home he came out...but very slowly. The more he walks the more trouble he has. He is limping on his front paws as he moves. I can't tell if there is something wrong with the paws or his balance. He eventually, after a few steps, sits down then gets up and tries to move along again.
His eyes look fine and his coat is shiny and groomed. I'm really worried because this is how Newt was in the final stages of FIP, with the exception that Newt was not groomed, his eyes were blood red, and his pupils could not focus. Could a common kitty cold cause a loss of balance?
We have a very heavy wood piece on the top of our china cabinet that was knocked down last night...its possible that has something to do with it. I squeezed all along his legs but he does not act like he is in pain from it. Very worried. We have an appointment at 4:30.
