does anyone have any funny black cat stories?

Once we had a door to door (curby) vacum salesmen come to the door. As I open the door Lilly ran outside, she ran right accross his path. This man was about 300 pounds and 6'5" ! he jumped so high when that little kitten ran across and he screamed like a girl. I have never seen anything so funny in my life. I tried to tell him that she wouldnt do anything to him, but he was so supersticious he couldnt belive me! He was to flustered to sell me a vacum then so he just left!
Really it worked out because like I can afford a curby anyhow! They cost like 500.00!!!!

one halloween, a woman who was taking her little one trick or treating saw blackie when i answered the door and she wouldn't come closer until she found out he had a bit of white on him!

My mom has a female black cat. This cat is pure evil. When she wants something, she gets it.
Any time I eat, this cat (her name is Baby..how perfect?) would sit and stare at me while I ate. Occasionally, she would stand up and have her front paws on my legs, and she would dig those razor sharp claws into me! The little brat eh!
One day I was eating, and Baby was watching me eat. I stopped watching her for one second to take a drink, and she ran up and stole the piece of meat right off my plate and took off running with it in her mouth!!! I tried getting it from her, but she just hissed and growled and showed her teeth, and she tried to claw me when I came near her.
What a freak eh? (yes I am Canadian :roll: )

hee hee, that's funny. I don't think I have any good stories about it, though I do love black kitties and have owned a few They are wonderful halloween cats.
I know back when I was volunteering at the HS in Maine they would not adopt out black cats around the halloween time unless they had at least 80% white, or whatever other colour on them.

We adopted one cat from their we named Tommy, black cat but white mittens and a stripe on his nose, after I read their sign I was all afriad they were not going to adopt him out to us, but they said it was ok cause he had enough white.

AZ, dittos on the not allowing cats to be adopted during Halloween, and I mean all cats. I had never heard of such a thing until I moved here.

they don't adopt out black cats in the n.j. area on halloween as well.
all my cats are indoor cats now, but when they weren't (5 or so years ago) i wouldn't let blackie out on halloween or the night before either.
