my parents just got a 4 month old himalayn. from what i understand, it goes to the box to make its poop. they have had the kitten for 2 days & each morning it pees in hte same corner. after the first incident i suggested thouroughly cleaning the area w/ pinesol & clorox & reinforcing where the box is. after the second i suggested cleaning the area again w/vinegar and putting the box in that corner..any other suggestions that may help ?

Try Nature's Miracle for Cats. It works pretty good. Feliway is also an excellent product to spray in the area after it is cleaned properly. To much sure it is cleaned you can shine a black light on it, any glowing means it's not clean enough.

Definitely clean it with something like Natures Miracle or any other cleaner with enzymes to get rid of the smell also and try putting another litterbox in that location. Eventually the kitty should go to the litterbox and do their business. Good luck

I hope you get this worked out and some suggestions for you.

1.) Bring the kitten to the vet to rule out anything physically wrong, this is very important, it could be something such as a UTI which can only get worse and needs treatment.

2.) Clean the area with something like Nature's Miracle, saturate the area completely as others have said.

3.) Move the litter box to the location he has chose to pee in if you can.

4.) Get another litter box, a BIG one, place it in a low traffic, safe and quiet area, and you might want to try another type of litter.

These are just some of the basics, let us know how it goes!
