my kat was spayed on friday, and i've noticed a wierd bump under her skin at the end of her stiches. i don't know what it is, is it bad? i tried to take some pics of it, but they all came out fuzzy.

I'd say its a small infection or a lousy stitch job on the part of the Vet'. Only way to be sure is to take her back there.

i called the vet, they said it was probably a localized tissue reaction but that i should point it out to the doc when they remove the stiches.

The inflammation from the incision and internal sutures will often create a welt under the skin like that. As long as there's no heat, redness, or discharge, probably it's a normal tissue reaction.

Cheers,
