Hi Queen of the Nile,

Thanks for the reply.

When we went the vets he gave Cammie an anti inflammatory injection in the back of her neck. He also gave me antibiotics for her for 10 days. The teeth that are missing fell out of their own accord before going there. We thought it was due to all the fighting she seems to do.

When the vet saw her he was scraping tartar off her teeth with his finger and it didn't seem to hurt her. Just found out we are not covered by pet insurance , but will do whatever is necessary anyway.

Am taking Cammie back in approximately 8 days and will keep you posted.

Kind Regards,

Lan.

Is the appointment for a dental cleaning? They will need to remove the tartar under anaestethic and they may have some more teeth to remove. I'm sorry that your poor cat is going through this.

The check-up is to check whether the anti-inflammatory injection and antibiotics have worked. She may need the tartar removed, I'm not sure.

At present her teeth and gums are not looking as bad and feel that the tablets ae working (fingers crossed). She's a great cat and seems such a shame.

Will keep you posted on the outcome.

Lan.

P.S. Thanks for the information and advice.
