In case you hadn't noticed, cats are consummate hunters.
Even when they're not working, they hunt for pleasure.
If not forced to eat by a human's idea of a schedule, they would eat small amounts often throughout the day.
They would hunt almost constantly to do so.
Hunting is built into them.
They don't just eat rats, mice and other small mammals.
They also eat a variety of bugs of various sizes, among other things.
Our cats learned to avoid centipedes very quickly.
They were never noticeably harmed in the process.
I love our cats.
They are as much a part of our family as children.
They learn very quickly, but aren't all that smart.
