I am fostering a dog named Buddy. :D
Bosco does not like this dog!!! heheheee

They had 1 nasty run in....Bosco must have bit the dog towards
the end of his snout.
I did not notice the wound right away. He has 2 puncture wounds that do not seem to heal. It has been about 2 weeks ago that this insident took place.

Does anyone know how infectious cat bites are, and if they are
as infectious to dogs as they are to humans?

I am now keeping the 2 of them seperate. :)

Thank you drjean :D

If I squeeze 1 of them it bleeds. He hates that I am trying to do that to him...but I needed to see what would come out.
Say a prayer that the shelter has the resources to have him vetted.
Say a second prayer for me to take him myself and somehow pay for all of this without telling my husband. I need some cash! LOL!
If I write a check he will see it...credit card might work...
any other ideas...LOL! :D
Here is the little Angel! He is a really good dog!

Withdraw money for grocery or something, and use that to sneak around. Maybe buy a little bit of groceries too to show something for it.

Meantime try warm compresses on the wounds. Soak a washcloth or other handy rag in hot water, wring it out, and lay it over the punctures. That will help draw out the pus and help him heal. If the wounds aren't deep you might get away with just that, but cat bites can be pretty bad....if you can find a way to get him to the vet for antibiotics, that is really the best.

Cheers,
Dr. Jean
