My cat has been diagnosed with FIP. She is filling with fluid to the point that she appears to be pregnant. She seems to feel OK and still eats and drinks well. She is not quite as playful as she used to be and she does seem to have difficulty climbing onto furniture, etc. Does anyone have information on this disease? I know it is fatal, but I would like to know what to expect toward the end.

I don't know much about FIP, nor do i have any advice for you right now.
I just wanted to write to say I'm sorry to hear of your news.
Very, very sorry!

I am so sorry to hear that your cat has FIP. It is such a horrible disease and nearly always fatal. Here are some links to threads about other FIP cats. I'm really sorry, but all of them passed away. I hope that you can find something within them that may help your kitty with her journey.

I am so sorry. I lost a cat to the dry form of FIP.....I *think* the "end" is different between the two forms. You have been given a lot of EXCELLENT links from Queen of the Nile......I am so sorry and I will keep you and your kitty in my prayers. *HUGS*
