My two year old spayed female keeps trying to get into the fireplace to eat pieces of charred wood (cold, of course). Is there a dietary need that is not being met for her that she could be receiving by eating this? Is this bad for her?
She gets 1/2 can of Fancy Feast in the morning. She prefers fish flavors. Dry food is always available and it is either regular formula Iams of the Lamb and Rice formula Iams. There are four cats in the household.
She also has chronic anemia and I give her 1/2 tab of prednisone twice a week.
Thanks for any advice you can share.
