Hi I am Carol I am facing a horrible choice of getting rid of my cat. this is not my first cat. I had two cats that lasted until 18 and 20. They were indoor cats and the were great. 2 years ago I adopted a cat who was very nervous. We have gotten past the hiding and running and she has adjusted nicely. However I can not get her to stop peeing outside the box. This was not a problem the first 5 months then I moved and it as been a problem on a off now for 1-1/2 years. I am beside myself and to the point of getting rid of her, but who wants a cat that pees anywhere? There are 2 litter boxes that are cleaned every day and changed at least every 2 weeks. I have cat fermones all over the house to keep her calm and supposed to keep her from peeing
Can anyone help??

Have you taken her to the vet? Cats with UTIs associate the pain of peeing with the litter box and decide to go elsewhere.
