On Friday, I was picking a mat out of my cat's neck ruff, when he decided he had enough and pulled away. I was still holding on and he let out a MROW! Later I discovered that he had a flap of skin hanging! There was no blood, but I could see his flesh. If you've ever seen a rabbit skinned you'll know what I'm talking about. I don't understand how this happened, but there you go. He didn't seem to be in any pain; he wasn't hiding or not wanting his neck touched.
Anyway, I took him to the vet the next morning, and they stitched him up. He seemed back to his old self instantly. But then, Saturday evening, I looked at his stitches, and one had opened!
It looked like this

Okay, that doesn't look good, but it's just one stitch, right?
Well apparently they started to itch, and Mao rubbed his neck up against the corner of a cabinet, and ripped out the rest.

Ouch! The vet isn't open until tomorrow, but can anyone tell me what I should do until then?
