Okay, anohter question I have is this...I have a bottle of bleach water. It is a very small amount of bleach (about 2 tablespoons for ever 8 oz. of water) I use this to clean things. I spray it on the floor next to the baseboard and let it dry. There is such a small amount of bleach that you can bearly smell it. Well, my CRAzY cat Tinsel (whom I always post about) lays down and starts to drag herself though the bleached area. But she does it like she enjoys what she''s doing. She's roll on the spot and then get hyper and run around. There isn't enough bleach in the water to hurt her so I'm not worried about it, I just want to know what she is doing. My guess, she is a black cat and she decided that she wants a white coat. LOL

yeah, it's not good for them but it's such a very small amount it won't hurt her. And She doesn't lick it or hersrlf afterward. She stays away from the bottles Because I spray (water) at them when the torture my birds and gerbils. Even her vet said that as long as it's an extremely small amount it won't do any damage if it isn't digested. II was wondering though if it has some type of pheramones or something in it.

Maggie goes nuts if she smells bleach on my hands after I clean. She responds like she does to catnip, rubbing her cheek against my fingers. I'm glad to hear some others have experienced the same. Now, if only I could get her to do the cleaning ...

She also goes wild when she smells Vicks Vaporrub. All of my cats love the smell of valerian root (which I sometimes take for sleep). It smells like stinky feet but it's a close cousin of catnip.

One time a left a dish of bleach and water out on my kitchen counter. The next morning it was gone :? . All I could figure out is that one or more of my cats lapped it up. Consequently, I no longer leave bleach water out.

Oh, dear! Glad your cats are ok. I guess there is always the possibility it just evaporated. Maggie would have licked every drop for sure.
