Hi

A friend of my husband and I gave us her cat's litter box, brush, and other little things because her cat unfortuately died recently so, of course, she has no use of the cat's things. Anyways, we brought it home and once I placed the brush and treats our friend gave us, Luna starts attacking the **** out of the brush. Also the litter box, there's a hood for it, and she climbs up onto the roof and starts rubbing her body all over the thing.

I was just wondering if she's trying to get her scent on those things? or what?

Thanks
Stephanie

If your cat is attacking those things, you might try washing and scrubbing them with detergent and allowing them to dry in the sunlight. Then your kitty wont have to be so aggressive with them, trying to cover or attack, the scent of the other cat , and will naturally place her scent on them.

What did her poor kitty die from? Hopefully nothing contagious.

If it was a prolonged illness, your cat may be able to smell that "sick" smell on the used things. More the reason to disinfect them really well!

The poor cat was getting quite old :( and he also wasn't 100% healthy. I'm not sure but I think he had a poor hearing problem and couldn't see well out of one of his eyes.

It's strange too, that I'm allegeric to that cat but I'm not with my Luna.
