Hey everyone!! :D

I haven't been on for awhile. I've been busy being up at my aunts for the holiday and just hanging around not doing much. I told myself last night I needed to come back here and post about how everything is doing here.

Kali is now 15 weeks old (this coming tuesday) and just about ready to go for her next shot on friday. My sister and her boyfriend went on a "vacation" to Disney Land so we are "cat sitting" their cat. He's a huuugee orange male cat, (both neutered and de-clawed :() and a very loveable cat. Of course Kali ran right up to him earlier and they hissed at eachother. He's an indoor/outdoor cat. He usually stays inside half the day and goes outside the other half. Anyway I didn't leave them alone long enough to do anything more then stand their gaurd and hiss. I've kept them away from eachother and hope that in the next day or two that they will just adapt and mind their own ways. I just have a feeling that everything will turn out ok and it was just that Nacho (my sisters cat) was nervous from leaving his house and going to a new place (we watched him for a long time last summer while she was moving) and that kali hasn't had to share "her house" with any animal so she was protective. I feel confident that they will get along. I can't explain it but its just a feeling. Anyway, I just wanted to check in and say a hey to everyone. :) I'm off to read the posts that I have missed. Take care and have a good day.

I'm curious about this outcome too as my new kitten arrives tomorrow! Then there's another older cat at the pound I'm thinking about as a playmate for "us", but I'm not sure if they'll get along. The other cat isn't available for another week, so that'll give me some time with the newbie and decision if I want to try this going from none to 2 cats in 2 weeks.

Well it has been a day or two and they seem to be ok. They pretty much avoid eachother but when they DO run into eachother they just stand their guard and hiss and I come and get Kali and Nacho runs for cover. LOL Other then that they are pretty much ok and nothing bad has happened. Although I take Kali in my room and close the door when I go to sleep just to be on the safe side. Anyway I just wanted to add an update to let everyone know. Also, now that Kali's Purina Kitten Chow ran out I'm switching her over to Iams kitten food. She seems a little picky about switching but of course I'm mixing a little bit of Iams with most of her old food and everday I'll make the ratio of Iams/Old food a little more until its all Iams. Last time I switched her food from what the people gave her to Purina it took her about 3-4 days I think and she switched fine. So I'm not worried about this switch. Take care everyone and have fun! Talk to you later. And Congrats on the kitten ralphcor! :) I'm sure you'll enjoy her. Bye
