Hi,

We have a 1.5 year old Bengal cat who spends a lot of time by himself in the basement (his litter box is there). During the day, he seems to be fairly active and runs around the house, and doesn’t seem to be injured or sick. He is usually down there all night, and about 5-6 hours out of each day. He is eating and everything else seems to be normal.

He is not really a “lap cat” so I’m thinking this is just his temperament and/or common with Bengals specifically. If anyone has any input it would be appreciated.

If the cat has that kind of character then not much can be done about it

Thanks. I was just more worried that it was an indicative sign of sickness or if Bengal cats are more solitary than other breeds.
