I was wondering that, didn't think ducklings needed to suckle/could suckle

I watched that one too, so cute. I was a little worried for baby duckling when mama was trying to pick it up, but she is one protective mama, she is wondering why her three yellow babies just won't stay put like her other ones.

Cute, but ducks don't suckle as noted above. They do, however, cuddle for warmth and protection. I tried to take a very cute pic of a momma duck with her newborn chicks all huddled under her wings. The lighting wasn't right but it was the cutest thing to see all 10 or 12+ chicks snuggled up tight under her protective wings. She looked like one big duck ball.
