I picked up a couple varieties of fancy schmancy cat treats for Chloe, but she won't touch them. The only ones I've found that she likes are the Friskies Party Mix. She doesn't get treats often so I'm not too concerned that they're not necessarily the best quality.

My mother's cat LOVES the Temptations treats.

ET loves Evo Salmon and Herring, Evo Chicken treats, but they are just too expensive, so I bought the Evo Salmon & Herring kibbles (1kg pack) instead, he like them just as much, but only given as treats and wet food topping. He is also crazy over Greenies dental treat, all flavour, which he had been getting since day 1.

The only ones I've found that she likes are the Friskies Party Mix. She doesn't get treats often so I'm not too concerned that they're not necessarily the best quality.
I thought Friskies Party Mix has BHA and BHT? Though occasionally, is it still ok?

My cats LOVE the blue buffalo treats in tuna and salmon. They also get Feline Greenies Dental treats in tuna. But, none of my cats are very picky. They were getting friskes party mix when they stayed with my boyfriends mom while we were looking for a place that allowed pets. When we made the switch to better treats they didn't even seem to notice. As long as they get to eat it, I guess.

My latest experiment was with the Blue Buffalo salmon and chicken flavors (two different things), and they were a hit. You never know, though....there have actually been treats that he sniffs and won't eat. Like the ones with the close-up of cats faces, whatever brand that is. There's one called Potroast that Murphy won't touch.

The absolute favorite around here is freeze dried chicken...Whole Life or Weruva. It's more economical to buy a big bag of Whole Life from the dog food section and just break it up into smaller pieces.

BHA and BHT are preservatives that are known to be carcinogenic. Not something I would feed my cats even in small amounts.

Also the Vita Kitty hip and joint chicken jerky they love!
Do you know they're made in China? Dogswell hasn't been involved in any of the Chinese chicken jerky issues with dogs...but something to think about...

Ive had Mia almost 2 years (got her from the shelter at 7 weeks). I just started letting her have treats at the beginning of this month. Temptations treats made her throw up. So I tried Wiskers Lickens, they are soft. She absolutely loves them. When I get up in the morning she follows me around, mewing until I get to the kitchen. Then she stretches on the pantry door while waiting for me to get there. I give hr 4 little pieces and she is satisfied. She likes to start her day this way but she does not wake me up for them, Thank God!!!

Ok...I went to HEB our local grocery and throughout the store I look like a cat forum junkie searching for this thread to see what was posted to be sure I get something suggested...no results so I am standing in the aisle and remember "blue" something lol they didn't have anything by that brand so I thought about party mix and temptations...they had both however, no moist in party mix and temptations had crunchy outside...Chanel doesn't like crunchy for some reason...I put temptations in the basket and milk flavor since she goes nuts when I have a glass lol..long story short I get into checkout with my fiancé and suddenly this thread pops up and I see whisker lickens and where temptations made your baby sick...ladies, I grabbed the treats and said I will be right back...took off running to cat aisle to see if they had those other suggestions(across the store) I get there and they had whisker lickens which I recognized she had before..they didn't have moist and no greenies...I grabbed pounce in mixed flavor moist and ran back...he was already checked out when I returned so he went back through the line for me...lol I couldn't wait to share how your suggestions helped..so far she likes the treats...we will see...I am going to check at petsmart soon for better selection...more suggestions the better:) hugs!

Blue buffalo would have to be purchased at a pet food store as the brand is not sold in any grocery stores I have heard of.

But I am glad you found something she likes. I would still go to a pet store and look into treats there. They tend to be higher quality than what you can get at a grocery store.

She also doesn't like the higher quality wet food I got for her either. but that's another story for another day

I'll try to reintroduce the Zukes gradually later on. I really like the Zukes' products. I used to feed them to my last dog and she LOVED them. Maybe in time Chloe will too.

MissChloe, I forgot to mention, cut into smaller pcs, add just a little bit into her wet food, let her hv a taste of it, not too much, just in case she also stop eating her wet. If she ignore the wet with zukes added, you can at least pick it up and try again next time. Good luck!

I hv no luck with ET eating Evo (good quality) too.

I bought the Wellness Pure Delights chicken and lamb jerky but my cat doesn't like them.
She loves the Temptations though... so I keep the junk for occasions that need extra convincing, like nail trimmings and such.
I'm also looking for a healthy treat that my cat would like.

Thank you Cat and Man for those suggestions:))) update from last post of getting pounce treats...Chanel likes them and enough to run toward me from across the room around my head on the couch full speed and dart back to the piano with a sudden halt right next to the treats with a stare toward me..."hey, how about a treat?" LOL note to self:treats put in pantry...ha

Funny thing I realized with Lola, she likes the me treats my boys do, but she won't eat them if I give them to her. She is very much my boyfriend's cat, and she will only eat treats that he gives her. It is so silly. If offer them she turns up her nose and walks away. If he does, she gets super excited and chows down. Anyone else noticed this?
