Hello all, My 13 year old is having a hiccup like tremor/twitch. Her head seems to involuntarily twitch like a human hiccup would. Everything else is normal. The vet has no idea what it is. After comprehensive blood work she seems to be perfectly fine. But these tremors are very concerning. This is the second time she has them the first they went away on their own. We are planning an appointment with a specialist but please if anyone has seen this before, can you please let me know what the outcome was? Thank you in advance!

Hi sorry to hear about that with your kitty. I had two kitties that were seniors that head twitching started. One cat ended up having cancer of oral cancer of the mouth and I think the cancer might have went to her brain. I don’t want to frighten you because my actually my dog is 15 and started to get body tremors and my vet it’s age related. So I am glad your going to the specialist- if I were you I would video tape the cat while it’s having the tremors so when you visit the specialist he will see what’s happening for a better thorough evaluation in case it’s not a constant tremor. Keep us posted I wish you lots of luck for your baby!

Thank you so much for your answer and tips. I have some videos and just really hope to get clarity.
