I just read another post where someone said their cat's urination had decreased recently. My cat however is urinating a lot and today when I got home he had urinated on my bed 4 times. Also he had used his litter pan. He has as far as I know used his cat pan everytime since I got him a couple of months ago. He doesn't seem to be eating as much or drinking as much water either. Recently I changed his litter brand because the one I was using before was very expensive. I am using an arm and hammer baking soda clumping cat litter now and I don't know if maybe it is bothering him. I am unsure of what to think or do. He doesn't appear to be sick. He runs around and plays a lot. Also for the past few weeks he has been biting my toes in the middle of the night. He does it all night and i barely get any sleep. i am thinkign of banning him from my bedroom at night.

Some will grow out of the biting the toes at night stage. hehehe. I would keep an eye on your cat. Make sure he's not sick. Monitor his nutrition and hydration status. Peeing on the bed is not good. Good be a sign of sickness or he just doesn't like his new litter. Try a similar texture litter as the one he liked.

I did some searching through his litter and found traces of blood. I moved the cat pan into our bedroom cause he had been urinating sooo much. I think he has a UTI. I am takin him to the vet today. Thanks for the reply.

It appears that it was just a UTI. The vet ran a bunch of tests and put him on some meds and he is doing just fine now. He had a rough time at the vet though. He is still skiddish at times and freaked out at the vet (scaled the blinds on a window). They had to sedate him but he is doing great now. Thanks for your concern.
