We have Sensei, brown tabby, 2years old, Who ran away for more than a month. Did an intense search, registered RSPCA, PET D,
A very scared. hate children and noise and strangers. We caught him recently in our cam, lurking at night behind our house for his favorite food. Not coming into the house, very afraid to see us and runs away.No one sees him at day times only we are seeing him now at late night. He behaves like a feral now hunting which ever caught his eyes.
Tried humane trap. got into it once but they manage to push the trap door and got away.
We really missed him and we treat him so good but not sure why this cat does not want to come to his bed, home and his toys.

You're Sensei reminds me of that very old song "How ya gonna keep em down on the farm after they've seen Pareee". His 2 yrs. in the great outdoors are now his preferred life style. Continue to feed to keep him coming to your backyard.....move the food very gradually closer to your house, provide a box or carrier near the house with blankets for him to get into if it's cool or rainy. If you see him, talk gently to him in an encouraging voice, throw some yummy food near him (roasted chicken) and maybe he will try to be friends again. Let him come at his own comfort and pace. Since he's already gotten out of a trap, to try and trap him again is not likely to work and will only spook him to see one. Good luck!
