I'm not sure if this is the right forums for this.

So I just took a pregnancy test and it showed up that I am pregnant. But I'm a little worried. I have been cleaning the litter box unknowing that I was pregnant, and I technically shouldn't be but I got careless the past month...

My cat was adopted so I have no idea if he was ever outside or if he has been exposed to toxoplasmosis. Has anyone else had any experience simular to this?

Keep in mind I haven't been to the doctor yet, so I could have gotten a false positive.

And no my cat will not go. My husband is going to have to suck it up and clean the litter box.

You're probably OK if you follow good hygiene practices...that is always washing your hands after scooping the litter. It's my understanding that toxoplasmosis is fairly rare, but for your own peace of mind, you should have your doctor test for it.
