I noticed yesterday that the ears of my 5 year old male are somewhat warm. If I gently pinch the ear between my thumb and forefinger, I can feel the warmth. The ears of our 10lb female aren't warm like this. Is this an indication of a fever and a potential problem?

Otherwise, he is acting completely normal: he's eating, using his litterbox, and sleeping the usual amount.

He has medium length hair, and it's been pretty warm here in sunny southern california lately. Maybe his ears are just doing their job in cooling him off. I plan to check his ears later tonight when it's cooler.

Any input would be helpful. Thanks!
